Remove marks from painted walls or wallpaper by rubbing the area with a slice of white bread. This is great for walls so that you don't take the paint or wallpaper off:)

Homemade Drain Cleaner
Homemade Drain Cleaner
All you need is Baking Soda and Vinegar
Pour half the box of baking soda down the drain. Pour vinegar over the top of the baking sod to create a foaming. Allow the foam to settle and repeat the process until all of the baking soda is gone.
For best results, allow the drain to sit unused for awhile after cleaning. Run hot water down the drain the first time you use it after cleaning it like this. This will help remove any debris left behind.
Homemade Hand Sanitizer
Homemade Hand Sanitizer
Ingredients:
2/3 c Isopropyl Alcohol 91%
1/3 c Aloe Vera Gel
Essential Oil (optional)
Directions:
1. Mix the aloe vera and Isopropyl alcohol together until well blended.
2. Add 8-10 drops of essential oil to the mixture for fragrance (if desired), and stir well.
3. Pour the finished hand sanitizer into an empty container and seal.
Contains 65% Alcohol
Tips:
1. Many essential oils like tea tree oil and lavender have antibacterial properties. Use one of these to boost the germ-zapping power of your hand sanitizer.

Another way to save money - homemade cleaners;)
Floor Cleaners
Homemade Floor Cleaner
1 cup white vinegar
1 gallon warm water
Mix in your cleaning bucket and use this to clean vinyl type floors.
Wood Floor Cleaner
½ cup vinegar
1 gallon water
The most important thing to keep in mind while cleaning wood floors is that they can not get overly wet. When you use the above mixture, dip your sponge mop into the solution and squeeze until almost dry. Then mop. Never put the cleaner directly on the floor. Dry any streaked or wet area with a clean towel as you go along the floor.
All Purpose Cleaners
Make this in a gallon size container and fill spray bottles as I need it.

Fill the remainder of the gallon with hot water. Pour into spray container to use.
Make this in a 16 oz. spray bottle:
All-Purpose Cleaner
2T vinegar
1 t Borax
Hot water
a few drops of a mild dish detergent

Put vinegar, borax and hot water in the spray bottle. Spin around until borax has dissolved. Add the dish detergent and fill the rest of the bottle with water. Add the essential oil (if you decide to use).

Homemade Laundry Detergent
Take two cups Borax, 2 cups washing soda, and 1 bar of soap...grate the soap fine with like a cheese grater mix together well. This is a double batch, you can find the borax and washing soda at walmart and meijer, use an ivory or similar soap that doesn't have color to it. You use about a table spoon and a half in each load. Works great, lasts forever, and is Super cheap!! My son Ryan has super sensitive skin. I bought an ivory bar soap that was for extra-sensitive skin. He has had absolutely NO issues with this soap. Before this, I had to buy only Tide as he would get a rash with anything else. Thanks so much to Beth Hagenbuch for this great money saving tip!!
I have been using this for over 6 months now. I have saved a TON of money. I have only had to make it twice. (cost me just over $7.00 to buy one box of borax, one box of washing soda, and enough soap to make all that's in the box). It works great and saves me over $20 per month!!
